The number of wild animals and plants such as musk, antelope horns, leopard bones, monkey bones, antler horns, armor pieces, glutinous rice cakes, oysters, oysters, cordyceps, licorice and berberine have all been significantly lower than those required for the production of traditional Chinese medicine and health products. Brand-name products such as Shexiang Baoxin Pills, Pien Tze Huang and Liushen Pills are all at risk of being cut off from medicinal herbs. The continuous decline of China’s medicinal animal and plant resources also affects China’s share of the international Chinese medicine market. Experts pointed out that the main cause of the depletion of medicinal animal and plant resources in China is the changing environment, and the territory where medicinal animals and plants perch live more and more. Experts pointed out that medicinal animals and plants are renewable resources, and as long as corrective concepts and effective measures are taken, the vast majority of medicinal plants and animals still have the potential to reverse the momentum of decay. The most important thing is to earnestly implement the 18-character guideline of “enhanced resource protection, active domestication and breeding, and rational development and utilization†for the protection of wild animals and plants, develop in protection, and protect in development.
