1. Sweet Corn Stores at Low Temperature Sweet corn is rotted and deteriorated, and is not easily stored at room temperature. Therefore, it should be cooled to 0°C immediately after harvest, supplemented with relative humidity of 90%-98% for 7 days. The time from post-harvest to the beginning of cooling is very important. Storage at room temperature is too long, and sucrose can be quickly converted to starch, affecting the quality of sweet corn.
2. The air-conditioning storage of sweet corn will immediately cool the sweet corn after harvesting, and place the container of corn in a plastic account to reduce the oxygen to 2%-5%, or to maintain the oxygen at 21%, while the carbon dioxide rises to 15%, and stored at 1-2 °C, this can be stored for about 3 weeks, if the corn is stored at a low pressure of 50 mmHg, the same can be stored for about 3 weeks.
