Professor Wu Xiaoming, who presided over the study, said that carotenoids are the “health protection gods” of the human body. The beta-carotene in the body is beneficial to the human body. A recent study by scientists from the United States and France has confirmed that people with higher blood levels of beta-carotene have a 40% chance of getting lung cancer.
Because carotenoids have water-based and high-temperature oxidation resistance, the carotenoids of rapeseed oil after oil extraction are mostly soluble in rapeseed oil and can be absorbed by the body. At present, researchers at the Institute of Petroleum Research Institute have selected from 1,203 different rapeseed germplasm resources a group of excellent genetic resources with a carotenoid content of 9.51-12.66 milligrams per hectare of rapeseed and cultivated to provide effective nutrition and health care.
