Scientists have been trying to explore other immunosuppressive cells found in tumor patients. Recently, Professor Zhu Bo teamed up with Chinese and foreign scientific research institutions to find a new erythroid progenitor cell-derived immunosuppressive cell in the peripheral blood of tumor-bearing mice, spleen, liver and peripheral blood, and tumor patients. Oxygen (ROS) inhibits CD8+ T cell-mediated immune responses, resulting in decreased antiviral/bacterial and anti-tumor immune response functions in tumor patients.
It is understood that normal erythroid precursor cells should be differentiated into normal red blood cells, but the cells discovered by Professor Zhu Bo can not only not differentiate properly, but also produce strong immunosuppressive ability, so that normal immune cells can not effectively kill.
