Historical Origins

Xianju County has a long history of tea production. According to legend, Wuyue battles in the late Spring and Autumn Period. Yuewang Goujian has lost its white horse and has lost its place in Yehautou. The village’s democratic movements seduce tea. Yuewang’s drinking is full of praise. Xianju’s white horse tea is named after it. During the period of the Republic of China, Xianju County was one of the 15 major tea producing counties in the province. Famous teas such as “White Snow Tea”, “Cangling Sweet Tea” and “Xianlong Rock Tea” were sold to Wenzhou, Shaoxing, Suzhou and other places. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the area of ​​Xianju Tea Garden further expanded, reaching 40,000 mu in 1985 and producing more than 790 tons of tea each year.

Due to the Xianju Mountains, the tea region is full of mist and fog. It has no pollution and nourishment with natural rain. Therefore, the tea produced is of excellent quality, green color, mellow taste, long-lasting aroma, and strong red juice. Among them, “Xiangju Yunfeng” of Pingxi Forest Farm and “Xianju Bigreen” of Miao-Liao Forest Farm are the best products in the tea industry. They were evaluated as provincial and ministerial teas, and in 1994 they won gold prizes at the National Excellent New Forestry Expo. It is the only tea in Taizhou that won these two honors.
