1.1 Company Profile

Practice Fusion was established in 2005 with the mission of connecting doctors, patients and data to a better medical care and saving lives.

The company initially promoted its electronic medical record system to doctors for $300/month. Due to competitive incentives, despite the price cut to $50/month, there is still no improvement. In 2009, in order to promote health care reform, the US government enacted a bill that stipulates that clinic doctors who use the electronic medical record system by 2015 will receive a medical insurance premium of $44,000 to $64,000. Otherwise, they will be fined. At the time, electronic medical record systems were expensive in the United States, and years of use often cost tens of thousands of dollars. In the same year, Practice Fusion launched a free-of-charge system—the doctor only had to agree to transfer ownership of the system-generated medical records to the company.

In April 2013, Practice Fusion launched an online free appointment service. Through the website, the company provides patients with information on more than 27,000 certified doctors across the United States, as well as 1.5 million certifications for doctors (average of 14 reviews per doctor). In the month of opening, it provided 3 million appointment channels. These data are currently growing substantially. Although this business coincides with the industry giant ZocDoc, which provides appointment services for patients, ZocDoc charges each doctor a monthly fee of $250. Practice Fusion is completely free to both patients and doctors.

Currently, Practice Fusion is the largest cloud electronic medical record platform in the United States. There are 1.2 billion visits per year in the United States, of which 83% (nearly 1 billion) occur in doctor's offices outside the hospital, of which 60 million (6%) are completed on Practice Fusion.

1.2 Service methods

Doctors and patients will use the Practice of Practice before, during and after the clinic:

1. Pre-diagnosis services: make an appointment with a doctor, find a doctor, refer to a doctor, and fill out a form for a visit;

2. In-patient services: patient forms, chart results, video check appointments, doctor prescriptions, specialist referrals;

3. Post-diagnosis services: access to electronic medical records/laboratory data, referrals, patient-based education, and follow-up.

This system greatly facilitates the work of the doctor. In addition to the easy filling of medical records, doctors can also view the patient's previous medical history and discuss the treatment plan with the patient's previous doctor (even in different hospitals and clinics). The system is also networked with the three largest web billing companies in the United States to help doctors and insurance companies handle patient bills.

In addition, the system automatically recognizes prescription content to avoid patient deaths caused by human error. In 2011, actor detected 7,390 complex prescriptions that produced a lethal pharmacological response and alerted healthcare professionals to cautious implementation.

1.3 User Data

1. There are currently 30,000 certified doctors' resumes available on the Practice Fusion, 2.5 million visits, and 3 million appointments per month.

4. From 2010 to 2014, there were 128 million patient visits, 99 million appointments, 93 million doctor prescriptions, 61 million diagnostic medical records, and 29 million laboratory data transmissions.
