First, the higher the temperature the cucumber needs, the better.
In general, the suitable night temperature for cucumbers is 15-18°C and 32°C during the day. However, cucumbers can still grow normally at higher temperatures. In the 38-40°C range, although photosynthesis is strong, respiration is equally strong. Accumulation of actual photosynthetic products is appropriate at 26-30°C. Within this temperature range, the higher the temperature required for cucumbers grown in the greenhouse, the better. The lower night temperature helps to reduce respiratory consumption. The cucumber's swell is mainly based on nighttime. Reducing respiratory expenditure is equivalent to "less money spent." Naturally, the yield is higher (cucumber is generally higher.) In the first half of the night, the photosynthetic products produced through photosynthesis during the day were the nutrients transferred to the melon strips, so the temperature in the middle of the greenhouse was required to be 15-20 degrees, and of course, the temperature in the middle of the night could be higher to make the photosynthate more likely. In the middle of the night, the cucumber mainly respires and consumes nutrients in the cucumber body, therefore, the temperature in the middle of the night must not be high, generally 10 to 15 degrees, in order to make the cucumber less respiration and consume less nutrition. In general, the minimum temperature in the greenhouse at night should be above 10 °C. If it is lower than 8 °C, it should be moderately warmed to ensure that it does not inhibit growth and produce malformed flowers and fruit.
Second, as long as it is resistant to low light, it can not fill light.
In the winter and spring season, the cultivation of the Jinyou 35 and Xintai Mickey cucumbers in the greenhouse should be resistant to low temperature and low light. In the event of continuous rain and snow, the light falls below the compensation point, and the cucumber is in a state of “starvationâ€, which has a great impact on the yield. Therefore, it can be said that the lighting of cucumbers in greenhouses in winter and spring seasons is seriously deficient, and it is feasible to increase the yield by supplementing light. The general practice is to wipe the film frequently to remove dust and increase the light transmittance. Through the colorless film cover, the reflection of ground sunlight is enhanced, and the lower middle leaf receives more light. By setting the rear wall reflector there is also a certain effect. However, the most effective method is to set up dedicated lights such as sodium lamps for plants. The general power is more than 300 watts and every 8-10 meters. The power of incandescent lamp is not obvious.
Third, only higher temperatures are required, and ground temperature is not important.
The temperature of the cucumber to the ground temperature is higher than the temperature. 1°C ground temperature is equivalent to 2°C temperature effect. The lowest temperature that favors the growth of cucumber roots is 12-15°C, but when the ground temperature is higher than 8°C, the main root is still able to elongate. Below 8°C, both the main and root hairs are inhibited and do not elongate. Experiments have shown that: If the ground temperature is raised from 18 °C to 24 °C, the early yield and total yield of cucumber increased by 45% and 34%, respectively. However, if the ground temperature exceeds 32°C, the total production will decrease. When cucumbers were grafted, the stress resistance of cucumbers increased significantly. When the ground temperature dropped to 12°C, the roots could still grow and develop normally. Therefore, the effect of ground temperature on cucumber is much greater than the temperature. There are many ways to increase the ground temperature in winter greenhouses: increasing the use of crop straws and cattle and horse dung is a method to increase ground temperature by using brewing materials, and the effect is better. Through mulching and cold-proof ditch, the ground temperature can also be effectively increased. In the winter season, reducing the amount of chemical fertilizers and applying as much organic and biological bacterial fertilizer as possible, that is, increasing the use of thermal fertilizers is beneficial to increasing the temperature.
