In the case of abnormal fetal position, contraction, and dystocia caused by lack of productive force, corrective traction assisted delivery is often used.
After the operator's hands are sterilized, smear paraffin oil and other lubricants to check the fetal position of the fetus and correct it according to the fetal position: gently push the fetus out of the vulva or in the pelvic region into the uterus and gently correct it. In order to avoid damaging the ewes and the birth canal of the ewes, the movement during the correction of the fetal position should not be too large; for the sheep whose abnormal fetal position cannot be corrected, it is not appropriate to forcibly pull the lambs so as to avoid damage to the mother's birth canal and some parts of the fetus. Affects postpartum recovery and lamb management.
After correcting the fetal position, gently grasp the two forelimbs or hind limbs of the fetus, and pull the fetus out with the responsibility of the ewes. After the midwifery is completed, carefully check the ewe's birth canal for damage. If there is any bleeding, verify the location of the bleeding. In order to restore the body of the ewes as soon as possible after birth, they can be injected intramuscularly with drugs such as penicillin and oxytocin.
