ECP therapy allows you to "lie down" and prevent type 2 diabetes!

Lying down all day can have serious consequences, but according to a new study, a very short time "lying" may also be effective against type 2 diabetes.

Ravin Lal , a researcher at the University of Queensland's Institute of Human Exercise and Nutrition, is experimenting with an external counterpulsation ( ECP ) device that stimulates physical movement.

“The ECP treatment is to compress your thighs and calves with a sleeve during the 30-45 minute break to simulate the effects of exercise,” Lal said.

“Then we used functional tests, health checks and vascular functions to assess subjects to determine their fitness.”

“It is believed that ECP promotes circulation, cardiopulmonary function, overall health and robustness, and contributes to the management of blood sugar and diabetes.”

The study conducted at the University of Queensland St Lucia campus, is designed to help was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes people.

Subjects will receive free treatment three times a week for seven consecutive weeks.

Some additional assessments may be conducted around this seven weeks.

"Exercise is an important part of prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes because it regulates blood sugar levels, but no side effects." Lal said.

"Exercise training can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes caused by a number of disease risk, such as cardiovascular disease."

"Although it has been suggested that patients with type 2 diabetes every day at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise, but this may not be achieved or patients have contraindications."

For patients who are limited by time or by injury, ECP could be another effective treatment can improve patients with type 2 diabetes, blood circulation and cardiovascular health.

The test is only carried out in a few places.
